Julie Thompson has been singing, songwriting and playing the piano since the age of 14 and in recent years has established herself as a leading international artist capable of creating atmospheric lyrics and delivering warm vocals on numerous high profile dance releases in collaboration with A-list producers such as Tiësto, Freestylers, James Holden, Freemasons, Richard Durand and Andy Duguid. Julie Thompson first shot to fame with her debut offering alongside James Holden in 2003; Holden & Thompson 'Nothing' became an instant classic thanks to its distinctive progressive house vibe and fantastic top line and was signed by Fatboy Slim for his Loaded/Skint label as well as appearing on leading CDs mixed by DJs as diverse as Deep Dish ('Global Underground') and Paul van Dyk ('Politics Of Dancing'). Their follow-up single 'Come To Me' was met with similar cross-genre support when released in 2005. In between the James Holden collaborations, Julie had the opportunity to write for UK breaks act the Freestylers, writing the top line and delivering vocals on the tracks 'Losing You' and 'Too Far' that featured on the critically acclaimed album 'Raw As F**k'.
The success of these singles led to a year and a half on the road touring with the Freestylers around Europe and Asia which saw Julie Thompson perform on some of the biggest festival stages such as Glastonbury and V Festival. Doors were really beginning to open in Julie's career now, and none bigger than when a call came in from the world's number one DJ Tiësto in 2007 to collaborate on 'Do You Feel Me' on the highly successful album 'Elements of Life'. Julie then went on the Elements Of Life world tour with Tiësto to perform to hundreds of thousands of dance fans all over the globe over a period of several months, and the pair teamed up again in the studio to write and record 'Somewhere Inside', under the ‘Allure ft. Julie Thompson’ guise.
On tour, Julie Thompson has been stealing the spotlight with her stunning live vocal performances at major events around the globe this year, whether it be alongside Richard Durand on the In Search Of Sunrise world tour as far as India and Lebanon, or solo at leading shows such as Ministry Of Sound in London, Planet Love Festival in Ireland, Avalon in Singapore or Music Conference Asia in Kuala Lumpur.
